INFORMATION TEXT REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA (MEMBER / POTENTIAL CUSTOMER)

In accordance with Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, Thisis U (hereinafter referred to as "Data Controller"), acting as the data controller, wishes to inform and enlighten you about the personal data processing activities we carry out.

1. Purpose, Method and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data

Your personal data (name, surname, email address, telephone number) is processed in accordance with the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and other relevant legislation, and the Data Controller's Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy, for the purposes of conducting/monitoring business activities, conducting communication activities, conducting sales processes for goods/services, and conducting marketing processes for goods/services. This processing is carried out automatically or non-automatically, verbally, in writing, or electronically, using methods such as hard disks, servers, and electronic environments, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, and based on legal grounds such as fulfilling a legal obligation, being foreseen in the laws, establishing, exercising or protecting a right, and the legitimate interests of the data controller.

The following principles are observed in the processing of personal data:

  • Compliance with the law and principles of honesty,
  • Being accurate and up-to-date when necessary,
  • Processing for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes,
  • Being relevant to the purpose for which they are committed, limited and proportionate,
  • Retention for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or for the period necessary for the purpose for which they were processed.

2. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed, recorded, stored, classified, updated, and, where permitted by law or limited to the purposes for which they were processed, transferred by the Company, acting as the data controller, in accordance with the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and relevant legislation, with your knowledge and in a manner consistent with the law and principles of fairness, to the domestic and international recipient groups listed below for the purposes specified.

Below is a list of domestic and international recipient groups and transfer purposes.

Within the country, transfers may be made to the following groups based on reasons related to contracts, audits, and legal obligations.

Domestic Buyer Groups:

  • Authorized Public Institutions and Organizations
  • Infrastructure suppliers in the technology sector

International transfers are not available.

In addition, in accordance with the procedures and principles set forth in the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages, email and SMS messages may be sent to you by our Company with your consent.

3. Security of Personal Data

As the Data Controller, we are obligated to ensure your data security in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. Therefore,

  • To prevent the unlawful processing of personal data.

  • Ensuring the protection of personal data.

We take all necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security for this purpose. In addition, we conduct and commission the necessary audits within our own institution or organization to ensure the implementation of the provisions of this Law. We do not disclose, share, transfer, reveal, or use the personal data we process for purposes other than the processing purpose, in violation of the Personal Data Protection Law and other legislation.

4. Your Rights Under Article 11 of the KVKK (Law on Protection of Personal Data)

For all your requests, you can fill out the 'Data Subject Application Form' on our website at www.thisisucollection.com or send us your own application document through the channels specified below. In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law), we will respond to and finalize your applications within a maximum of 30 days.

Pursuant to the aforementioned article, your rights are listed below.

  • You have the right to find out whether your personal data is being processed by the data controller and to request information regarding this.
  • To learn the purpose for which your personal data is processed and whether it is being used in accordance with its purpose,
  • The right to request the correction of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately.
  • Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the KVKK (Law on Protection of Personal Data).
  • Requesting notification of the actions taken in accordance with Article 11 (d) and (e) of the KVKK (Law on Protection of Personal Data) to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred.
  • You have the right to object if the analysis of your personal data, exclusively through automated systems, results in an outcome that is detrimental to you.
  • You have the right to claim compensation for any damages you suffer as a result of your personal data being processed in violation of relevant legislation.
